Does your child have dyscalculia?

There is no easy way of diagnosing dyscalculia.  However as a very simplistic guide, children who have it often display difficulty in the following areas:

  • understanding the concept of numbers
  • understanding the arithmetical signs
  • adding or subtracting numbers
  • multiplying and dividing
  • remembering sequences
  • telling the time
  • following directions
  • they may reverse or transpose numbers

First and Best in Education Ltd has published a number of resources for teachers and parents of children who are having difficulty with maths.  For further information please click on the Resources link on the left.  All our  products can be bought at our on-line shop  There is further information on dyscalculia on the website www.dyscalculia.me.uk
